Care Connection for Aging Services is an area agency on aging serving 13 counties – Carroll, Chariton, Lafayette, Saline, Johnson, Pettis, Henry, Benton, Bates, St. Clair, Hickory, Vernon and Cedar. They receive federal and state funds, some county taxes, and program fees. About one-third of the budget comes from donations and in-kind contributions. Founded in October 1973, Care Connection is one of 10 area agencies on agency in Missouri that resulted from the 1973 amendments to the federal Older Americans Act. As such, the agency is required to provide many services, which are described in this Website.
