717 Armory Spring Fling Veterans Outreach Charity Ride

The ride starts at 717 Armory, 7500 Derry Street in Harrisburg. Registration begins at 9:00 am and motorcycles go out at 19:45 am. The ride fee is $30.00 for the rider or $40.00 with a passenger. Preregistration is available. The ride will go through the Fort Indiantown Gap and end in Harrisburg with a party, vendors, food, music, raffle and more. The ride benefit Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania, a local nonprofit that specializes in helping Harrisburg veterans facing homelessness.

Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania's objective is to provide each veteran with his or her own tiny home, so they can feel safe and in control of their surroundings. This thoughtfully designed community for homeless Veterans will meet all local city code and ADA requirements and will connect to city utilities; water, sewer and electric. A tiny home provides everything the Veteran needs to live with dignity and safety, including a bed, bathroom with shower, desk, sink, and counter space with a refrigerator underneath. Transportation will be accessible to connect the veteran to systems of care, employment and the community.
